The Team

The team keeps up to date with all the latest techniques, developments and materials in dentistry  and undergoes regular continuing professional development (CPD) in line with the General Dental Council’s recommendations.

All dentists working at O’Connors Dental Surgery are self-employed, independent contractors and are personally responsible for the treatment they provide.


Dr Dermot O’Connor  B.A., B.Dent.Sc

Qualified from Trinity College Dublin, University of Ireland in 2003, and has obtained MJDF qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons. Dermot has an interest in the latest bonding techniques and minimally invasive dentistry. He enjoys working with a wide variety of patients with differing dental needs and in the maintenance of the dentition amongst elderly patients.

Dr Sarah Hughes  B.A., B.Dent.Sc.

Qualified from Trinity College Dublin, University of Ireland in 2005, and has obtained MJDF qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr Sarah has gained experience working in NHS and Private practices in London before joining O’Connor’s Dental Practice as a partner. Dr Sarah enjoys developing a strong rapport with her patients and has been described as very approachable and caring by her patients. She enjoys providing some of the more cosmetic treatments we offer such as professional tooth whitening, aesthetic crowns and veneers and  composite bonding. Dr Sarah has experience in facial aesthetics since 2006 and has a loyal following of patients returning for her holistically planned Botulinum toxin A (BTXA) treatments including wrinkle relaxing, masseter hypertrophy managment (overactive jaw muscles) and gummy smile treatments among others.

Dr Ameet Gadher  BPharm, BDS (Hons)

Qualified from Barts & The London School of Medicine & Dentistry and has obtained MJDF qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons. Ameet previously qualifed as a pharmacist and gained experience working in NHS practices before joining O’Connors Dental as an associate. He has a special interest in pain management, preventative dentistry and oral surgery. He enjoys providing NHS treatment to patients with a variety of clinical needs including elderly and medically compromised patients.

Dr Vicky Fang
Dental Surgeon

Graduated from Universty of Leeds with a Merit in Dentistry. Since then she has worked in general practices in london and Hertfordshire. She has also undertaken training in the oral and maxillofacial department of Salisbury Hospital where she gained valuable experience in complex tooth extractions as well as treating patients with head and neck trauma. Currently, she is pursuing a postgraduate qualification in aesthetic and resotrative dentistry.
She favours a calm approach to practice and prides herself on putting anxious patients at ease.

Dr Asha Singh BCHd
Dental Hygienist
GDC no. 79305
Qualified from Leeds University. Asha has recently joined our team to provide hygiene services on Saturdays. She has thirteen years experience as a hygienist, is passionate about providing the best care for her patients and enjoys keeping up to date with modern practices and techniques.


Irena manages the reception and helps with the day to day running of the practice.

Stela is a GDC registered dental nurse and especially likes working with our younger patients.

Emilia is a GDC registered dental nurse and enjoys helping with cosmetic and crown cases.

Lydia is a GDC registered dental nurse and has recently successfully passed her dental nursing examinations.

Karen is currently studying to gain her dental nurse qualifications and assists at reception.

Together the team can speak several languages including Italian, Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Czech, Slovakian and Polish. Please mention to reception if  you feel this may be helpful for you.
